Captain America: Brave New World

"Captain America: Brave New World" is like a Valentine's Day box of chocolates - you initially think it'll be sweet, but end up with a sugar crash. In this Phase Five Marvel flick, we see Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America tackling a White House conspiracy and international conflicts. The film dabbles in borrowed plotlines from classics like "The Manchurian Candidate" and "Top Gun," with characters that feel more like caricatures. While the action sequences are well-executed, the disjointed narrative struggles to tie together its various subplots and characters, leaving audiences feeling more confused than invested. Mackie shines in his role but is let down by clunky dialogue that even his charisma can't elevate. Despite some standout moments showcasing Sam's growth as a leader and his poignant interactions with characters like Isaiah Bradley, the overall film lacks cohesion and fails to deliver on its promising premise. It's an underwhelming entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that regrettably falls short of its potential.
