"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" is a radical and vibrant reboot that finally asks the question, "What if the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were actually teenagers?" With a fresh comic-book look and a focus on the awkward adolescent identities of our favorite crime-fighting turtles, this film brings new life to the franchise. The blend of self-deprecation, weirdness, and teenage hijinks make for an entertaining ride. The script by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and others inject humor and heart into the story while challenging familiar tropes associated with superhero narratives. The unique animation style and energetic action sequences elevate this film above its predecessors, offering a fun experience for both younger audiences and lifelong TMNT fans alike. "Mutant Mayhem" embraces its anarchic spirit while setting a new course for future studio toons - cowabunga indeed!

"Together" is a film that delves into the complexities of long-term relationships through a unique and twisted lens. Michael Shanks' directorial debut brings us the story of Millie (Allison Brie) and Tim (Dave Franco), whose decade-long relationship is put to the test in a strange and horrifying way. What starts as a move to the countryside turns into a nightmare when they find themselves physically fused together after an encounter with mysterious forces. The film cleverly explores themes of codependency, loss of self, and the struggles within relationships, all while incorporating elements of body horror that add an extra layer of discomfort. Brie and Franco's real-life chemistry shines through, grounding the narrative even as it takes surreal twists and turns. While "Together" stumbles in its attempts to explain its more enigmatic concepts in the final act, it ultimately succeeds in delivering a thought-provoking commentary on love and individuality. The film's blend of horror, sci-fi, and romance creates an intriguing mix that keeps you engaged despite its occasional missteps. In summary, "Together" is like navigating a challenging relationship - full of ups and downs, moments of beauty intertwined with unsettling revelations. It may not be perfect, but it's an entertaining exploration of what it means to truly be together... for better or for worse.

"The Naked Gun" is a riotous resurrection of the cinematic spoof genre, led by Akiva Schaffer's daring attempt at a legacy sequel. Liam Neeson shines as Sgt. Frank Drebin Jr., injecting new life into the iconic role with his icy demeanor and comedic timing. The film's barrage of gloriously stupid gags, from red light-emitting machines to a snowman brought to life via necromancy, keeps the laughs coming non-stop. While Neeson and Pamela Anderson deliver standout performances, the film overall revels in lampooning everything from police procedural clichés to pop culture references like "Sex and the City." With its relentless humor and unabashed parody of action blockbusters, "The Naked Gun" proves that spoof films still have a place in modern cinema. Though it may stumble occasionally with overdrawn jokes, this laugh-out-loud affair remains true to its roots while offering a fresh take on classic comedy tropes. Schaffer's film is a hilarious joyride that takes audiences on an absurd journey filled with unexpected twists and turns—a must-watch for fans of irreverent humor everywhere.

"The Bad Guys 2" takes fans on a wild ride through outer space, as the quirky gang of antiheroes find themselves in a cosmic adventure filled with heists, double-crosses, and a showdown against new foes. The sequel amps up the action and humor, blending elements of caper flicks with over-the-top antics that both entertain and baffle. While the animation is visually stunning and kinetic, the film struggles to find its footing as it navigates between embracing its morally ambiguous characters and pushing them into more heroic territory. With nods to various genres like Tarantino films and superhero movies, "The Bad Guys 2" attempts to elevate its franchise but ultimately falls short of making a lasting impact. Despite some missteps, including darker themes that may not sit well with younger viewers, the movie manages to deliver wholesome fun and mischievous charm that will appeal to those looking for a lighthearted animated escapade in space. Rating: One small step for animation, one giant leap for mediocrity - 2 stars out of 4
