Fight or Flight

In "Fight or Flight," director James Madigan takes us on a turbulent ride filled with chaos, humor, and missed opportunities. Josh Hartnett's performance as ex-Secret Service agent Lucas Reyes injects the film with a zany energy akin to a Looney Tunes character on caffeine. However, despite Hartnett's best efforts, the film struggles to maintain a consistent tone between serious thriller and hyperkinetic romp. The plot stutters along as Lucas navigates through a plane full of assassins and wild elements like shaolin nuns, never quite reaching the comedic heights it aims for. While there are flashes of excellent fight choreography and moments of mayhem, "Fight or Flight" ultimately fails to fully deliver on its promise of unhinged entertainment. Strap in for a bumpy ride that runs out of fuel before it reaches its destination.
